With no budget for a Winter 2024 photoshoot, I was asked to develop a campaign that championed Rocky Mountain Soap’s all-natural skincare line, whilst only using only existing and stock photography.
The brief required the campaign to evoke a ‘“deep appreciation for the best that nature has to offer,”’ leaving the customer with ‘“confidence in their own natural skin.
Concept Moodboard
The close-up images of skin and nature serve as a reminder of our relationship to the natural world, that our bodies are part of nature and that we are always connected. The images I chose played on the parallel between the beautiful irregularities and asymmetries found in nature and the authentic, unfiltered beauty of skin. Freckles, scars, and natural textures show our individuality, much like patterns on a leaf or grooves in the trunk of a tree.
The end result is a campaign reflected in print and video ads, web pages, in-store branding, and packaging design, with the story of embracing the skin’s natural process front and centre.
